"Harrison County, Kentucky - History & Families is the first general history of Harrison County to be written since 1894, when Chronicles of Cynthiana by Lucinda Boyd was published.  This book is comprised of both a general history of the county and a family history section.  The general history contains basic historical information on the development of the city and county government, communities, churches, courthouses, schools, industry, wars, and citizens who made a mark both inside and outside of the county.  Interwoven among the pages are historical photographs of places and people mentioned in the book.  The family sketches section serves as a reminder that it is the men and women who have lived here, farmed the land, and developed the communities who should be remembered by future generations."--William A. Penn.
